Hi everyone,
I am doing some research into Chest pain protocols in the ER. I know many adult ERS utilize chest pain protocols as well as haveing chest pain observation unit's within the ER to help guide treatment and avoid missed diagnosis. Especially related to Aortic Dissections. However does anyone know of any pediatric ERs that utilize them? As they do take care of young adults Age 18_21 that are no longer classed as a pediatric patient but instead are treated as sn adult.
I know that in 2010 The American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology Foundation published the "Guidelines for the diagnosis and Management of Patients With Thoracic Aortic Disease ", and I am trying to find out how many pediatric ERS have incorporated this into their practise with young adults.
