I would not recommend Chemistry over the summer. It involves a lot of time outside class, and it is very difficult to catch up if you fall behind. The lab notebook and lab reports we were assigned involved a lot of time and effort. I took algebra and statistics over the summer and got A's. HG&D should was also fine over the summer. Is there another class you can substitute for Chemistry? Best wishes for whatever you decide:)

HI,
I am planning to have chemistry for the summer semester. I had chemistry in high school 18 years ago. I am working like 15 hours per week. I just wanted to know how difficult this course is at MDC, CHM 1033 plus lab. If I decide, I will do chemistry and some other bluff subject. Only two for the beginning. I understand the summer semester is only 12 weeks. I passed the PERT already and I was placed in college credits. My question is: "Will chemistry and a non-science credit (human growth and development, for instance) be OK to do over the summer semester? Or will it be too difficult or overwhelming for such a short semester?" Thanks a lot for your answers. I really find myself lost in this new path I've set out to do. Lost, but happy. Thanks.
