Charlotte Hungerford Hospital

Hi all!

I recently graduated from nursing school and am looking at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington for a nursing job (I have my BSN and RN, and have some experience with ER nursing). I just have a few questions about the hospital that I was hoping you all could help me with! I've seen a few threads about the hospital, but they are all a few years old.

1) How is the work environment for nurses there? Is it supportive for newer nurses? It seems like a fairly small hospital, so does everybody get to know each other? If you've worked there, did you like it?

2) Do they do a lot of floating of nurses to other units?

3) Are the nurses part of a union? If so, how is that union?

4) What is the starting pay for a newer nurse?

5) Anything else that would be good to know before applying there?

I'm sorry for all the questions! I just like to know as much about a place as possible. Call it being thorough!
