Hi,
I'm interested in opinions on CMC vs. Presbyterian in Charlotte. I have 4 years ICU experience and want to remain in an ICU but know that the atmosphere can vary from unit to unit. I like a challenge but I also want to work in a unit where the nurses work well together (ie. are nice!). Anyone do clinicals or work in an ICU at either and have any advice for me? Thanks! Interviewing early 2010.
hello, anyone?

I precepted and had clinicals at CMC-Mercy's SICU, MICU, and CCU. The CCU was where my preceptorship was and the people there were phenomenal. I would love to work in that department. All of my classmates as well talked highly of the teamwork in that department and it seemed like they all got along. Even the unit secretary bought candy every week for the team - that is how great the morale is on that floor. Even those whose personalities may have "clashed" worked together very well.
Hope that helps!

Honestly, I don't think you could go wrong with any of the CMC or Presbyterian hospitials.
Good Luck with the job hunt!
