Chapel Hill Nurse New Graduate Program 2014

Published

Ok, so I hope this is not a re-post, but I searched and did not find it.

Has anyone applied to the Nurse New Graduate Program that was due February 27th? I applied in mid February and my status changed to "under review" in late Feb. Its been over a month with no correspondence. I am just curious if anyone has heard any good news, or any news period even. Feel free to discuss and if this is a repost please direct me to the right thread!

I haven't heard anything back either! Applied in February too. The only email I got was acknowledging that they received all of my documents.

I applied in February as well, and haven't heard anything other than an email in February telling me all my documents were received. Hopefully we hear something soon!

Good to know, everyone. Let's keep this thread alive with updstes if anyone hears back let us know so we can at least know the process has started or have some kind of hope haha

Well this is the latest update. apparently 66 people already have scheduled interviews. Maybe another 80 or so should be interviewed...

To all of the new graduates who have applied to the Summer/Fall 2014 Residency:

The New Graduate Residency Program will be scheduling interviews throughout the spring and summer to fill the 79 positions for new RN graduates.

At this time (April 1) 66 candidates have been selected to interview. We anticipate inviting at least 150 candidates out of 664 to interview.

Candidates who did not make the first cut for interviews have been notified by email. If you have not yet received one of those emails or, you are not one of the 66 with known interview times, then your application is in review and determination regarding an interview will be forthcoming over the next several weeks.

Due to the EPIC implementation at UNC Healthcare, the scheduling of interviews will take longer to coordinate with manager schedules than usual. We ask your patience with our process and do appreciate that this timing may add to your anxiety. We ask that you “hang-in” there with us as we balance completing this important/vital electronic health record implementation with the necessary and equally vital interviewing of new grad candidates.
