I'm so excited and wanted to share the news. I am currently working toward my BSN and have a CNA license. Oncology & NICU have interested me for quite some time. I did volunteer work and job shadowed in the NICU at a children's hospital in order to get some exposure to the field. Well, I just landed a CNA position at a major cancer center!! It will be on weekends over the summers and EOW during clinicals. I am very excited about entering this field and feel priviledged to help this special patient population. Also, I believe this position will improve my ability to make some career decisions.
I was told by a cancer survivor that I should not wear perfume at work because chemo patients are very sensitive to smells. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.
