Chamberlain College of Nursing's degree marketability

Hi I am a high school student applying for a nursing college. My biggest concern is the marketability of a degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing, mentioned above. It is a for-profit school. How will employers view a graduate from this school? It is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). Any help is appreciated, especially from alumni of Chamberlain. Thanks!

Well it depends on which campus location.

The Addison campus is CCNE accredited alreadt and getting the NLNAC in 2012. The Chicago campus is not yet accredited because they need to get the pass rates on the NCLEX for approval and that wont happen until the first class graduates. Either way, having a BSN at an accredited school will always get extra points wen applying for a job

All the campuses are CCNE accredited. Some have obtained their NLNAC accreditation. I've spoken to many of the nurses in the hospital that I work for and they all say as long as its accredited and it thoroughly prepares you to sit for the NCLEX then its fine. For profit and Non-profit doesnt matter. The Chamberlain colleges in Illinois are partnered with Northwestern Memorial Hospital which is one of the best hospital in Illinois. So if a Chamberlain degree is good enough for them then its good enough for me.
