HEY ALL, I am attending chamberlain college of nursing this fall for the September 7th start. I just passed my HESI with a 96, and submitted my transcripts. I am waiting for the evaluation for the next steps. My biggest fear is the cost and the work load. If anyone has any information that would help ALOT !

Hello and Congrats on your HESI score. A 96% is AWESOME! I just started at Chamberlain in January and I am very satisfied. Course and workload were also some of my biggest concerns. I was warned by naysayers that spending $80,000 dollars was ridiculous when I could stay at my community college for much cheaper. I weighed the input of others, but in the end you must make the decision based on what's best for you. Needless to say, I will not being paying $80,000 because of the number of pre-reqs I completed and also I pay some of my fees out of pocket so, I can reduce the end amount. I will probably owe about $30,000-$40,000 by the end, but right now I don't have a lot of financial responsibilities and my BSN should put on the path to not be in a financial strain with what is owed.
WORK LOAD...is what you make it. Chamberlain does an excellent job of pacing you and increasing your workload little by little. You should never feel like you were thrown into the deep end without a life vest. I love that each term gets a little more challenging, but the previous term's load seems to prepare me for the next set of courses.
I apologize for being so long-winded, but I get so excited about filling people in and giving them the details that they may not get ordinarily. If you have any more questions, please email me at [email protected]. I'll give you my number and then maybe we can exchange info going forward.
