Ever had one and what was the treatment? I saw my first one but the doctor said it was not bad and to just keep an eye on it. How would they treat if it was a more severe case.

It's not unusual to see the cervix at the lady partsl introitus after a lady partsl delivery. Just think of it this way - the ligaments have been stretched to their limit by 38-40 weeks gestation, they don't just go back like elastic at delivery. It takes some time. So, naturally, the cervix can sometimes be so low that you can see it at the lady partsl opening after delivery. You just be careful with fundal checks (hold support on the lower uterine segment during fundal checks) so that you do invert the entire uterus.

I just had one....the MD had us keep the patient flat on her back with an ice pack on. It went back up inside by the time her recovery was finished (2 hours). When she got up to the bathroom it was completely resolved. Fundal checks were done carefully, supporting the lower uterine segment and bleeding was minimal. It was freaky to see it the first time though!
