I'm kinda new to the CRNA arena. I have a BS in Biology and currently seeking my RN degree. I'm wanting to pursue a CRNA degree in the future and was hoping to get a few questions answered and maybe get a mentor. First, how long did it take to earn your degree? What do you think about your position? Love/Hate? What are your hours? What types of procedures do you do? How much responsibility to you have? What are the goods and the bads? What kind of salary would I expect? Ok..thats enough for now..hehe. Please email me if you have time, I'd really appreciate it!!!! [email protected]

I am just a student in a nurse anesthesia program, but I may be able to help you out a little. Programs are 24-36 months. I believe I will love my job, (I was a surgical nurse before this). We do all types of procedures, and keeping someone else alive is about as much responsibility as you can have. Salary to start should be 100,000 with benifits. More or less depending on location. Hope this helps some.
