CCP Nursing Class of 2017

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Published

Hey guys.

I started this thread bc I'm an LPN going back for my RN at CCP and I'm just kind of nervous. I start Nursing 132 in January and wanted to see if I could connect with people here to find a study partner. I've been stalking this website just to familiarize myself with what I need and where to get it (i.e. books, uniforms, vaccinations/titers, etc.).

To those of you who start Nursing 101 this semester, good luck!

Hey!

I am a LPN as well. I am assuming your in the LPN-RN transitional course. After the first class session, I AM SO NERVOUS. I don't think the LPN-RN transitioning course will be to bad, but I know 132 will be tough. Thanks for starting this thread.

Hi mssnow09!

Thanks for responding!

Yeah, I'm in the transitional course as well & super nervous!

The transitional course seems to be alright (looking over the syllabus), but I'm gathering that we need to do SO much more than just show up on Mondays and do the assignments to be successful. I kind of feel like we're at a disadvantage because they're being taught 101 on a RN level, so I'm just trying to keep up with what they're reading in lecture on top of ours.

We are definitely at a disadvantage. I am going to go to as many nursing 101 classes and labs that I can. I took a few nursing 101 quizzes online and they were not as easy as I thought they would be.

Same here! I did alright on a few of the quizzes, but I'm not comfortable enough to say that I know the material 100% (or at least 72% for that pass rate :x3:).

I'm looking for serious people to study/trade notes with for when I attend the 101 courses. If you're interested, let me know.

I'm definitely interested. My last name is Snow you can contact me via canvas if you like. I will be at lecture on Tuesday, hopefully I will see you there.
