Exactly,
they don't look at it and say "ok she has a 78 on this test and a 97 on reading on this other test, we're just going to take the 97".
If you take it again, and the overall score is higher than 74%, all the subsections on that test would be counted, whether the scores would be higher or lower than the other subsections on your previous exam.
But with your high GPA (great job! btw), it may not matter. A higher TEAS wouldn't hurt.
Thank you so much! That was exactly the information I was looking for.
if you were in my position, would you retake it?
also, I don't know how broken down the scores are when they see it but out of the 3 topics for science (anatomy, physical science, and scientific reasoning), it was just physical science that messed me up. I did fine on anatomy and scientific reasoning.
I would retake it. It doesn't hurt you to retake it as long as you show improvement on your scores.
When you look at the score report, it will break down your wrong answers and direct you to which pages to study in the TEAS study book.
My advice would be to study the TEAS book and a general chem textbook if you can and retake before Jan 15.

Hi everyone,
I am applying to CCBC's nursing program and probably the ATB program as well. All they say about their requirements for the TEAS scores is that you need a 69% or high for reading and at least Proficient overall.
So I just took the TEAS 6 on 12/20/16 and I just got my scores. I got:
Overall..... 74%/ Proficient
Reading.... 78.7%
Math........ 90.6%
English..... 75%
science..... 57.4% ):
I am pretty much okay with everything but science. There was way more general bio and chem than expected and much less anatomy than I expected. I haven't taken chem since soph year of hs (I'm taking it next semester) and haven't taken gen bio since my first semester of high school. I know I can pull that science score up way higher if I just do a quick refresher of those sections. SO, my question is, are you allowed to retake just one section of the TEAS 6, or would I have to retake the whole thing?
If I can only retake the whole thing, I'm debating about just sticking with what I have because I have a competitive GPA. What do you all think?
I also found a table online saying that an advanced score in science is 66.7%, which is what's making me consider just sticking with what I have if I have to retake the whole test.
