Hi. I was accepted to Carrington for the ADN program in Tucson and start July. I wanted to start this thread because I don't see much talk about Carrington, especially in Tucson, but even anywhere else as well. Let's use this thread to talk about anything Carrington related. It can probably help alot of people who want to join OR already joined. I will be posting here and there during my journey, even if I'm talking to myself ? If you guys have any questions about the school and how I got in etc. let me know! Hope to hear from anyone soon. And if you're in the program I would love to know how you like it? Etc.

OK so I'm taking 2 classes that I've never taken before (Sociology & Communication) and it seems pretty easy so far. Like the way their Canvas app is set up. It's easy to navigate. And just 1 project essay with 1,000 words. Peace of cake so far ? ??

It's going good so far! Already aced my first exams in pharm and fundamentals/Medsurge. Mannn I wishhhhh I came to this school first before I went to a stupid CC that literally was a horrible school. 😫 I love the way the curriculum is set up. They have an easy going pace, separating subjects by sections etc. Exam questions are straightforward and not mumbo jumbo and we use ATI software. There's lots of room for studying because they don't give you extra 💩 to do at home. You just do the homework lessons and that's that. No projects or nothing ridiculous.

It's still going great! 5 more weeks and we're on to the next semester. The teachers are great! Highly recommend this school and location

Hello,

im so glad I was able to find someone that goes to carrington in the tucson campus. I have so many questions that only a student can answer.
I am done with ore reqs at PCC. Finishing up bio202 but I don't want to wait the waiting period and then its still a 2 year program. At carrington, after speaking with the dean I can start in the Feb2025 term at 3rd semester she didn't really go into detail how long the semesters are, what times classes are and how many classes I will be taking. It's due to the fact that I havent done my financial aide, taken the HESI test and havent sent in my official transcript from PCC. But any feedback would be appreciated.

you can email me at [email protected] if its easier.

thanks :)

Hi! that sounds good! I would definitely start seeing if you can take the exam (which is the TEAS, not HESI). I got in with a 70% LOL, so do not feel bad if you don't do well. She told me she goes more for GPA's. I would try to take it when you can cause the seats do fill up and your date can get pushed.

Since its accelerated, its 6 semesters. So if you start off at 3rd semester then you got 3 more to go. You would basically graduate beginning Feb 2026. We are almost done with 4th semester and about to jump into our 5th semester soon.

3rd semester is super chill!! But don't take that for granted because you can easily slack. So just study and focus and you will be fine. We were in class only M (9-12, 1-4), Tuesday & Friday (9-12 for both). Then you had clinicals Wed (10 hours). That was MY schedule, they split you into groups and your Clinical day can be a different day and your skills (skills was Friday). You do Fundamentals, Pharm and Skills. It is not homework heavy so that helped a lot with studying. You'll love the professors, they are are awesome!

Our 4th semester RN, we have 4 days off. So you get even more time off BUT it is heavy on the studying, it's a little more intense with that but it's not that bad in my opinion, I just got personal stuff going on so that just makes it tougher LOL. But I'm enjoying it, doing good and love these professors as well. Mondays we do medsurge 9-11. Tuesdays we have Mental health (9-11), then Pharm II (which aligns with medsurge) 12-3. Clinicals Wednesday or Friday (depends on what group you are in).

We got our new 5th semester schedule and that one is a little more intense. We were told it'll be the toughest semester (cause peds/ob) but I guess I'll be the judge of that LOL.

What I love is the support the school gives, teachers are great! and I personally love my cohort so I can't speak for any other cohort. It's not so heavy on HW which helps alot like I said before, so no busy work. Just straight to the point things (which I love). The exams are nicely set up but just know that every other week, you have an exam. We had no SKILLS in 4th semester and that helps sooo much. If you want more info lmk, I am a open book LOL!

Hi! I'm in semester 2 at Carrington college in north Phoenix, and was curious to know if the days change for the classes? I went ahead and grabbed all the semester calendars so that I can put my work schedule together, but for semester 3, they have class Monday through Wednesday, but am worried about what day clinicals will be on and how long clinicals are....I know we still get split into groups, but was curious if you or anyone knows the semester 3 schedule is now?

I'm currently trying to get into their program in Sacramento, but I have to retake my sciences, so I was going to do it through them but I'm getting no responses, any suggestions ?

Hi! Sorry I'm late I've been having health issues the last two months and getting ready for finals before graduation in 2.5 weeks 😫😭  For the Sacramento office I really can't speak on it cause aren't they an LVN program? I know they did make changes to CC in April of this year. I highly recommend getting your sciences done in a community college cause it's much cheaper. I've never done my pre requisites with them. Who have you been trying to reach?

I'm not sure if Phoenix has the same schedule as us but if they said it's Monday - Wednesday then it's probably correct. It'll only be 4 hours long each, so I'm hoping it's flexible enough for you. As for clinicals that's an extra 4th day and it can land on any day. If you have issues with where your placement is (cause you won't know until you're getting close to 3rd semester), then I recommend emailing the person who sent you the clinical schedule (which is usually the clinical director) and explain your situation. Because there were moments where I switched clinicals before the start date because for me I couldn't do weekends due to not having any daycare (I'm also not from this state so I have 0 family or help). With that being said, they always accommodated me (and others) when needed. So that was nice!

UPDATE: Finished: 10/3/25; Graduated 10/10/25 🥺

Took NCLEX Nov. 4, 2025 and found out I passed on Nov. 5 at 5am😭

ATI really does prepare you a lot. I know it sucks but it does help a lot. I didn't even study before the NCLEX. That's how confident I felt 😩 I did take like some measly practice CAT questions on and off on a couple of websites but otherwise I wasn't consistent (also because I had surgery in my sinuses and was having a hard time with my eye/head pain).

Towards the end of the semester you'll bump into the "NCLEX-RN Review" and that was the roughest class we've ever had (we had 30 students and 13 failed out) Towards the end of that, you have to pass an exit exam, if you don't you repeat the entire course. If you guys have any questions while my memory is fresh, please feel free. SJVC & Carrington are now conjoined twin sisters in the program. So the curriculum is the same. Ask away before my life gets busy and I forget 😹 I will be trying to get my BSN and hopefully I can update or make a new page for that too (stuck between OSU & WGU). Good luck guys!

Hi! Congratulations! Have you had any luck finding a job? I'm looking to enroll at SJVC/Carrington in Ontario, CA but I've heard that sometimes graduates have trouble getting hired and it worries me a little.
