Careplan Question

Ok I have been fighting witht his careplan for a little bit now. My nursing diagnosis is:

Diarrhea r/t increased GI peristalsis aeb pt compaint of diarrhea & frequent, loose watery stools.

There was no reason as to why he had diarrhea but he was admitted with it. My pt was going to have a stool sample sent for C-diff testing but the order came in at the end of my clinical day so I wasn't able to get the sample or find out the results of it. Am I on the right track with this & if not would someone please point me in the right direction.
