Career Change?

Im new to this group, Im at a point where Im considering other options as far as a job. I mean we work long hours, and in my case drive long distances. I have been working ICU, ER, Med surg, and recently started doing contracts and floating. Ive been driving at least and hour one way to any job ive had so making for a 14-15 hour day, currently I am working 2 contract jobs because they are both 1 hr away and the money was right and were both places ive already worked. Even working 3 days a week as with some prior contracts I still feel I have no time with my kids. I know on paper the math is there that working 3 12 hr shifts a week would provide more time with kids I still feel I miss so much and would do better with a M-F 8-5 kinda deal. Considering changing careers all together. Im 33 years old so I don't feel its too late. I guess im just posting this up for any advice. Postions I can hold as an RN I wasn't aware of, any other stories.
