I'm ignorant to what exactly a cardio-renal nurse is as I have never heard of this before, so could you give me a bit more info on this please?
I am an all round renal nurse and am responsible for AKI & CKD patients, including RRT (HD, HF, HDF, PD & TPE) so I dialyse as well as caring for in & out patients, in clinc, ward attenders etc. I think it is good to have more than one string to your bow so I would do both if it was possible.
Dialysis is something I enjoy but it can feel like groundhog day in some cases, but some people like that and it can lead to a job that doesn't have so many unsocial hours so that may be a factor for you. Personally I enjoy variety so my experience allows me to work in many different areas.
