I'm just at a point in my life where I feel like all the odds are against me. I'm originally from NY but I moved to FL in Oct because my hubby thought it would be good for cost and blah blah. When I was 3 classes away from applying for Nursing residency I became pregnant. I went to school up until a week before giving birth while taking my toddler to daycare in the college. Now I'm in FL with no family which = no help. I've applied to go to a school but there was a waiting list for childcare and when I got approved for it was too late and I had to drop all my classes so I wouldn't be responsible for the cost. I applied to a technical college to do LPN since it was going to begin in May and that would give me time to get everything in order. I got accepted into the program ! & I could just bridge to RN after but OFCOURSE nothing works in my favor and when I went to complete my registration I was slapped with the news that I would have to pay out of state cost and that would be $20,000 vs $8000 for in-state.
I just feel soo defeated because i work soooo hard trying to make sure i become a nurse but every and anything that can get in my way is. Not to mention i went all over gettiing all my shots and lab work & physical w/o ins only to be put on the back burner AGAIN!
