Hello. I have been an RN for three years now. I am a Hodgkins survivor, had a traumatic diagnosis where I ended up in the ICU with tamponade and have had significant anxiety from that. My mom was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer that we just found out this week has recurred and the survival is poor. I am extremely close to her. I feel so lost, and feel as though I am questioning my nursing career as the healthcare field and hospital are now contributing even more to my anxiety. I feel as though I am not focused as much on my patients and feel guilty about that as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
