Canadian Nurse Practitioner looking for info on moving to Barbados.

Hello,

I am writing to ask for help in researching a move to Barbados. My wife a nurse with 5 years experience as a Rn and 5 years experience as a NP

Can anyone point me in the direction of the source that can answer the following points.

1. Where can I read about the transfer-ability of a Canadian (British Columbia) NP license? Are there any extra exams to be taken?

2. Are Nurse Practitioners an established position in Barbados?

3. What is the best route to get a work Visa? We have good friends in Barbados, one of which is a GP and mentioned offering my wife a job. This was a conversation in passing before we seriously considered moving but if the research goes well we would defiantly follow up on if it would help.

Also are there any other resources that you think would be helpful in the research? What is important to know?
