I'm almost through the assessment stage and have hit a possible all stop. I trained as a Nurse in Canada graduating from Humber College in 2003. It was a three year diploma program that they fast tracked to get more nurses into the field before Ontario switched to all Degree trained Nurses. My problem is,we did the third and fifth semesters in the summers and graduated 2 years 4 months after starting. It is the exact same program, equivalent to 3 year diploma, meets every requirement the NMC. My recruiter says they may not accept me because I did it in less than three years. The dean of Nursing at Humber (thankfully was there in 2003) is going to write a letter. Do you think that's enough? Or am I screwed?
I haven't yet upgraded because I had a family and put my husband through school...

Your only option is to wait the results from NMC's assessment of your education. If you do need to upgrade to a BScN, will you able to do it now?
