Hi,
I feel stupid to ask this, but is it true, that venepuncture (unsuccessful) can lead to cardiac arrest in not severly ill (patient) even (hours) later the intervention?
(unsuccessful=no blood drawn into vacutainer, however attempted more times at different sites
patient=adult/elderly
hours=5-6 hours)
If yes, what happens to the nurse who performed phlebotomy?
Thank you for listening/answering,
