I am glad that I found this forum! I am from Italy. Recently I got a job in US which is not for health care but normal r&d scientist. I am a Hep B carrier with HBeAg-Positive. They will let me take a medical test before I can work. I wonder if they will check Hep B and if they find that I am a carrier with HBeAg-Positive whether they let others know or withdraw my offer. I feel so bad with this. It is like the world becomes dark for me. Please help me!

It depends on the facility. I have only worked at one hospital that actually required Hep B surface antigens to be tested. Most do not require that as a preemployment assessment.
Thanks a lot! It is a normal research position which is not related to food or health care. I heard that people who had pre-exployment medical test needs to take the blood test. I do not know what the test is. For TB or HIV or HVB? That make me feel so frustrated and feel so:crying2: For my case several years ago HbsAg is positive but ALT is normal. I do not know and I am afraid that if they find it out, everyone will know that which will ruin my whole life.
