It would depend on your school's dress code policy. When I was in nursing school we couldn't even wear headbands or anything. The rule was hair in a bun or cut above the shoulders and hair could not be in our face/eyes so small hair clips that blended in with our hair color were the only accessory allowed.
I wear very wide headbands to work in private duty to keep the frizzies at bay so I feel you. With the pandemic, schools may be more lenient in that regard.

Hello, I have been CNA for hone health for a few years now and always loved the idea of a scrub cap. With covid, I started wearing them and nobody bats an eye at work. I really like them they make me feel clean and honestly I just like how they look. Fingers crossed I will get into my nursing program within the next year and I will be nursing student soon. I am wondering if it’s dorky or nerdy or “trying too hard” if I wear a scrub cap as a nursing student in clinicals. I have a few cute ones and wanna buy more but not if it’s dumb to wear them as a student…please help :(
I wear the cap and pull out my bangs bc they are very short straight across bangs. It’s mostly to keep my hair back and not so crazy looking when I take on and off my n95. My hair is a frizzy mess when I wear headbands or just put it in a bun/ponytail.
