can I still renew my license in Texas even if I did not practice in US

Published

hi just want some help. I passed NCLEX exam in California in 2007 however I was not able to practice in US right away due to the pending backlogs in immigration for EB3. I endorsed it in the state of Texas before it expires. This year, it will expire on April. My question is, can I still renew my license in Texas even if I did not have my clinical practice in US. What are the forms that I need if it is allowed? If not which state can I endorse my license which doesn't require SSN. Hoping for a response. Thank You So Much

If you have an actual physical license, do pay the fees to the BON to renew your license. It does not matter if you are employed and using that license.

It is similar to the thousands of new grads that have their licenses, but have not yet practiced yet; however, they still renew their license. Just pay the fees and whatever else is required to renew the license (some states require CEUs; some states require certain classes, such as HIV or child abuse etc.)
