Can I start applying for jobs even if I haven't taken my NCLEX yet?

i graduated from my lpn program in late march and am planning to take it in late may. i've been looking at jobs since the beginning of this year. there's one in particular i love and it's been re-posted 4 days ago (which i'm thinking is maybe a sign from the universe that it's for me

wishful thinking maybe or this could be true... the best part is i know 2 people who were at this place. they do say you have a good advantage if you know someone who works there. i feel like if i don't apply now, i'll lose it and really regret it.

my friends who are rns said they even applied while they were in their 6th quarter. my mom is an icu nurse (for more than 30 years) has also noticed this trend of her students asking for her references and applying and they've barely graduated, then again, they're bsn students. it sucks bc many of the lpn jobs require "one year experience" but how can we apply if no one has given us the opportunity? anyway, i've had hospital experience through cna and volunteering years ago. i'm also currently in an rkg tech class, hoping that will help me with my resume. any advice?? it would be much appreciated! thank you!

This is a great question and I hope you receive an answer. I'm currently half way through my LVN but will have a job waiting for me once I graduate through my current employer. I know that were I work now is a great company but as far as patient care I don't want to stay there long. So I'm interested in knowing what's the earliest I can stop applying as well.
