http://lww.vitalsource.com/show/1609135377CH23 seeing as though excelsior changed the medsurge book on us, and many of us like myself are on the last test i didn't want to have to buy a brand new book. i found a legitimate lippincot site where you can just buy the chapters you need or the whole book. and they are giving a 14 day free trial of chapter 23 which we need for tuberculosis on ls3.. the other chapters cost only $1.68. Buying all the chaps cost as much as buying a whole book but this is a good option if you can't afford to buy the book all at once or you only need it for your last test etc....Forgot to mention it is a download so you will not have a tangible book in your hand but it will be on your computer.
good luck. This is not my website by the way, it is a legitimate site by the publishers just trying to help out my fellow students.

Does the edition matter? I bought an older edition thinking how much could have changed in Med Surge between this edition and the next. Are there things that are dramatically changing? please advise.
not a drastic change, easier to read, scaled down a bit. nurse advisor on the excelsior board did tell me that usually is okay within 3 years but there was a thing where the med was supposed to be morphine but the older book was saying demerol. Just stuff like that that makes me paranoid, i have the 11the edition myself but i go to google books and do a search on the chapter/topic i am studying in the new book and read all that is available then what ever is not included in the free preview i read from the eleventh.
THANKS FOR THE INFO!
very welcome.
