Camosun/UVIC BSN Sept 2021

Hey guys!

this is a forum for discussing the Sept 2021 intake for the Camosun/UVIC BSN program.

I'm applying with A's in Chem 12, English 12, and Bio 12 as well as a high B in FOM 12. I'm currently a first-year uni taking general courses at UFV and last semester my GPA was 3.6. I also have 150+ hospital volunteer hours but unfortunately, the

Camosun/UVIC program doesn't take that into account!

Feel free to share below!!

Hi there! I have an A in bio and currently have an A in my chem course at school. I have B’s in my Pre Calc 12 course and English 12 course since I took those during the past two summers, but I put my extra academic as my Français Langue which is likely to be 90%/an A or higher (as opposed to using my Pre Calc 12 mark). I’m still a high school student, but my my average is 92~% and I currently work as an MOA at a COVID testing clinic for travellers. I’ve also applied to the UBCO BSN programme!

for people who applied to the 2021 intake at camosun/uvic for the BSN, there’s a facebook group! https://www.facebook.com/groups/2792798804298075/

I've applied with an A+ in Chem, Bio and Hlth and an A in English, pretty sure those are the 4 courses they use for the GPA portion. I work as a health care assistant and activity worker right now ?

I'm so worried because I emailed *** yesterday and she said she recommends students to have at least 86% average minimum for the grade 12 courses. I have an 87% average and I'm freaking out. I heard most people with at least 86% get in, but one person who had 87% a few years back got waitlisted for a week.

87% is really good! Do you have backup schools? Even if you do get waitlisted, quite a few people get in from the waitlist. Who knows how the pandemic will affect applications and acceptances as well.

That's so true, and I know people who have been out of high school for a year or more get more seats (100 out of 160). I don't have backup schools, but I'm feeling alright about my average, it's just the waiting and the anxiety that's the worst part

Some acceptances came in today!

Hi,

Did anyone who applied to camosun/uvic and ubco hear back?

On April 1, the first round of invites came out for all eligible high school students, some Indigenous applicants, and a small number of out-of-high-school/university transfer students. All initial 160 seats are expected to be given by the end of April and those will be to mostly out-of-high-school/transfer students. For those who don't hear by the end of April, they will most likely be on the waitlist and that waitlist will be maintained until the first week of September. This is for Camosun/UVIC, I'm not too sure about UBCO

hey, I applied to both and personally haven't heard back from either. UBCO has sent out acceptances here and there and they said they'll send out all by the end of April but I don't think that counts for uni transfers who took classes this past semester.

for uvic, they sent out some on April 1 and then more today (April 23). they said they'll have all first-round offers sent by the end of April and after that, you're put on their waitlist.
