CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES:
Summarize research and evaluation findings related to school nursing practice.
Describe federal, state, territorial, tribal or local efforts to promote health or prevent disease and disability in the school community.
Discuss collaborative practices to support prevention policies, programs, or campaigns (physical activity, healthy diet, medical screenings, and healthy choices).
Explain prevention strategies that use multidisciplinary approaches for addressing wellness issues facing school communities.
Facilitate interaction on a professional and social level.
Areas of interest include: New approaches that incorporate innovation, collaboration, and creativity. Current topics on ethical, legal, and professional issues.
