Issues Applying for Licensure??

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi all,

Just graduated nursing school in May and trying to apply for my NCLEX in CA. Needless to say, I've run in to several issues.

I sent my app for Initial Licensure by Examination in mid- to late April. I went to school out of state, so had to mail in a physical fingerprint card, filled out at the local Sheriff's station. Transcripts were mailed one week after graduation (4 weeks ago).

Went on BreEZe, and ran into a few possible issues:

1. Application name says "RN Endorsement," NOT "RN Initial Exam Application" (which is what I applied for). How do I know if this is accurate? If it is, how can I change it?

2. Submission date is listed as 06/02/2017...does that mean my original April submission date doesn't count? (I'm sure I'm probably just being paranoid here, lol)

3. "Missing Education History" - I take it this just means they haven't reviewed my transcripts yet?

4. "Fingerprint Requirement has not been met" - this one is new, and doesn't make sense. I followed their instructions to a T on the fingerprint cards to make sure everything was just right, and payed the appropriate fees.

Also, it says, "Submission of new Fingerprints is mandatory before your license can be renewed." But I'm not trying to renew my license...

I've tried repeatedly to contact the BRN through every avenue possible, and understand they're inundated with apps right now, but it's just getting ridiculous. I'm probably overthinking this whole thing, but any help is greatly appreciated!!

Thank you!

I was told by the brn that the fingerprint issue text is not accurate, and most people get that notification. Once it disappears they usually have began looking at your application. Any news yet?
