California ABSN School Comparison

Published

Hi,

I'm a recent UCLA graduate with a biology degree and CNA license aiming for my 2nd bachelor's in nursing. I was wondering if anyone had any good ABSN school suggestions in California (from personal experience, what you heard from others, etc..).

I live in San Diego and prefer to go to a school here but the only two I found so far with an ABSN were National University and CSU San Marcos. I've read a lot of threads about National and am a bit confused as to whether or not it is a good school. A friend of mine was thinking about going to West Coast University's Ontario campus and I've considered it as well. Does anyone know which (National or West Coast) is the better nursing school? I want to get in CSU San Marcos ideally, but public schools are much harder to get into because they're cheaper. Do you guys think waiting to get into CSU San Marcos will be the better idea? Or should I go to a private like National or West Coast?

Lastly, would going to one of these schools, as opposed to the others, lead to better employment/hiring opportunities?

Sorry for all the questions and thank you all so much! :)
