I was accepted into Emory's BSN/MSN Segue Program for Fall 09. I feel that I am a pretty average student (3.5 GPA, average MAT score). I just tried to make up for this through volunteer experiences and other things, such as an internship, various clubs/organizations, etc. I feel that you just need to show how determined you are and make up for any academic deficiencies you may have through other means. I truly feel that Emory looks at each student as a whole, and not just what GPA the student has. I hope that helps. Good luck with everything!
For Cal State Long Beach which is where I'm attending this fall they have a 10 point system.
2 points for your Core Class GPA (Composition, Critical Thinking, Speech, and Math)
4 points for your SCIENCE GPA (Anatomy, Microbiology, Physiology, Organic/Biochem)
2 points for your overal TEAS test score
2 points for you math score on the TEAS Test
