CA PHN certificate

Hi there all,

I applied for my PHN certificate through the CA BRN back in mid July, sent in all the necessary documentation and paid the fee--yet I still haven't received anything from the BRN. They have indeed cashed my 75 dollar check but have not sent me either confirmation of my certificate or denial/request for missing documents.

I have attempted to look up my license on the BRN website but only see my RN license listed and I don't see my PHN certificate listed there--is it supposed to be listed there once I actually have my PHN? Am I supposed to receive an actual hard copy of my PHN? I have tried to find the answers to these questions on the CA BRN website as well as email them, but I haven't had any luck.

Thanks in advance fellow nurses.

Do they have a physical address to drive to question them in person?

I heard it takes from 4-6 months to get the pHN cert. unbelievable !

It took me months, they didn't really hurry it up until I started going into the office on a weekly basis (I live in the Sacramento area). Phone calls and emails didn't help at all at that time.

Thanks for the replies--I appreciate it. I will hold tight for a few more months I guess!

I applied in May and got it in Sept:)
