I wanted to share my experience with others playing the waiting game in CA. I took the NCLEX-RN on June 14th. Having no results, I called the BRN 2 weeks after testing to check on my application. They told me to call back on July 12th. Fine. Then, the week after I contacted them, a large chunk of people from my graduating class received their licenses. Some had taken the exam after me, some the same day, some before me. I had nothing posted.
The Breeze updated its website and I noticed that I had some new options listed under applicant activities in addition to the new application number. I was able to manage a "change of address" application AS WELL AS a "12-RN exam repeat/reapply examination" application. I clicked on this and learned that this option was given to those who were not successful in passing the NCLEX. My heart sank. I called the BRN (before July 12th) to discuss my lack of results amidst the many licenses being dispersed among my classmates. I was told to wait for a letter from them.
Needless to say, I was crushed. I'm aware of all the controversy surrounding the PVT. I have to say that in my particular circumstance, it was the only thing suggesting that I may not have failed. I attempted to re-register for the exam multiple times. If I failed, I wanted to get the ball rolling as soon as possible. Not once would it let me. I waited and waited for my letter. July 12th came and still no letter. I called them once more. This time, I asked if I could now utilize the "reapply for examination form" listed under my breeze. I didn't want to waste any more time waiting for my letter. The man I spoke to told me not to re-register and that if I had failed, I would've gotten a letter within 2 weeks of my exam. I was shocked. He told me, like many others have been told, that some of us have to be manually entered. That was my case, which is why I had to wait the full 4 weeks before anything could be done regarding my results. At midnight, on July 13th, my license finally posted!
Even when you think you're down and out, miracles can happen! So blessed! My test shut off at 75. I studied mostly UWORLD and some Kaplan. Good luck to you all! I know the wait in California can be torture. Try to keep your mind off of it as much as possible. Easier said than done.

Im going through the same thing! I waited for my att a total of 21 weeks.. that was pretty torturous too, so I hoped that I wouldn't be in the same situation when it was time to get results.. now, it's been 2 weeks since my NCLEX and I'm thinking I may be one who has to wait 4 weeks as well.. do you know what determines if we get "manually" entered?

Hello all you future nurses! I took my NCLEX examination on Friday Oct 28. I continue to get the good popup. Now it's Monday Oct 31, and I still have nothing posted on Breeze. Of course I'm freaking out; all my classmates got their results in 48 hours. So far, everyone who had tried the pVT trick found it to be accurate. We all even used the same gift card lol. Oh, the torture of waiting....

Hi.. i know this is an old post but i'm in this exact situation now )= i just took the test today and logged into breeze a few hours after and saw the "manage application" with the two options of change address AND 12- RN exam repeat.. just seeing that i have that option has me worrying so much. the initial application status says pending/open still though.
i feel so uneasy, and reading so many threads doesnt help either..ah! got 75 questions and i'm just so unsure. reading this post gives me a little bit of hope. any thoughts? anything will help
