I don't know how long it takes to hear back. Wish I could help you there. What do you feel went badly in your exam?

I mailed an app to Vacaville a little over a month ago but was advised by a friend who is a state employee not to expect anything for a while. I applied in person today to Metropolitan and the HR person said they have not had any RN examinations in a while and that it might be a year before I heard anything from them. Funny, though since there are vacancies listed on the website. How did you apply to Coalinga? When? How long did it take to hear from them? Was it by snail mail, phone, or email? Any info would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

What I did is go to the web site, coalinga state hospital, download a application, then mail it to the address on the web page. I sent mine in Aug and got a interview in Oct. hope that helps.

I interviewed at Salinas for a supervising registered nurse position ( DMH) and received my score yesterday. As I did very well and was ranked as a "1", does anyone know the next part of the process.....will they contact me or is there somewhere I need to look to access open positions for which I am qualified ?

hello, I have an interview for DMH for RN ( safety ). Was wondering if this is for qualifications only where u are given a score and ranked? then hopefully u get another hiring interview if u are on the top ranks? im a little confused. Also, does the oral interview cover all nursing ( disease process and nursing care ) or is it focused on psych nursing? i read the corrections interview thread here, is it the same for the DMH interview? Thanks so much for any help!
