C- in Gross Anatomy

I'm sorry, but I need to vent.

Today I had my interview at the school I applied to for my BSN. I prepared for every possible question they could throw at me, found a decent outfit to wear, and even got there early. What I got was a disorganized Chair who didn't ask me any questions at all! All she did was go over my classes from my transcripts. I thought I was all set ... then she nailed me. "You got a C- in gross anatomy and we can not accept that." OMG!! I can't even believe it. (I am applying as a second degree candidate.)

I am one class short of starting this fall, I'm not sure how I am feeling, I just can't believe it. The class was taken in Dental School ... I would think that would have a little more weight than if it were undergrad. Oh well. Whatever it takes!

I think I'm disappointed but determined to get started ... geez does that even make sense? LOL The good part about this is that I will have more time to spend as a Hospice volunteer, which I am very excited about. I start training next month.

Well, thanks for reading this and sorry for rambling.

Peace,

bubalu :o

Specializes in CCU.

Well, C is pretty bad I'll admit but considering the class was taken in Dental School, well... may be you would have a B in a "appropriate" class. Can't you fight this and go see the Dean or the director of nursing????

I certainely hope so. you seem like a good soul and it is not fair.

Good luck! :o

Peace to you! And hope the interviewer get scabies :biggringi

I admit a C- is not a good grade .. but thinking back to all the classes we had to take that first semester, working full time and trying to maintain a serious relationship, I am amazed that I even pulled that grade LOL (As long as I don't have to take Gross Anatomy again I will be alright. I don't EVER want to go through that again that is for sure.)

I would like to fight this but my interview WAS with the director of nursing :uhoh3: She assigned me an advisor and I think I will call her tomorrow to discuss this. Perhaps there is something she can do? Anyhow, I'm pretty pleased that almost all of my classes transfered ... it's been a while since I was in school (BA at Hofstra '90, LOA from BU Dental '92-'94)

thanx so much for replying to my post, and most of all ... thanx for the

laugh!!!! LOL :lol2:

Peace,

bubalu
