Hey there. I am just finishing up one of my prerequisites -- human nutrition - through BYU online. I've had a great experience. The class has been a lot harder than I expected, but I've really enjoyed it and I'm pulling an A average (with just the final exam left to go). Good luck to you!

thank you

I have some questions if you dont mind. I was actually planning to take Nutrition ...are the exams multiple choice questions only? how fast did you finish the class?

thanks again

All exams are multiple choice. There are two different kinds of exams. There are 15 open-book online exams, each of which correspond to the 15 lessons in the text. They're not too bad, particularly because they're open book. Then, there are also two midterm exams and a final exam, both of which are proctored and are NOT open book. There are also four 'instructor-graded' assignments...e.g., writing a paper, planning a day's menu, things like that.

hi - I also took BYU's nutrition class through the independent study. I finished it in 5 months, but you have up to a year to do it. I enjoyed it and made an A pretty easily while taking chemistry at the same time. The teaching assistants were helpful in answering questions too. Just make sure that the course will transfer in to whatever school you want to attend before you register for it.

Good luck!

thank you

I was actually lookinf for an online college where I could finish a prereq in 4-5 weeks....I dont know if it is doable or not

thanks

I finished the course in four months. I don't believe there's any way you could take a *legitimate* online course of this type and finish it in 4 weeks.
