Burrow's Solution

I'm looking for info on the use of Burrow's solution. I understand that it is an astrigent used to dry lesions. Can any of the wound nurses give me some info on how the solution is used? Is it used for irrigation or only compresses? What is commonly seen in pt tolerance level?

I'm a student, completely the first quarter of a p/t LVN program. I would love to go into wound care and hospice. Any advise would be appreciated.
