I found a college called Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania that offers a BSN with a post baccalaureate certificate in Health Care Informatics. I was wondering if you had ever heard of this school, and if you have heard of this school what have you heard? Also what do you think about a degree program like this? Just trying to get some idea of how to approach the educational side of getting into informatics.
I am still going to join an organization and see if I cant take a clinical informatic person out for lunch so I can pick their brains. Even going to talk to human resources about who does informatics - IT / IS for our hospital.
One way or another I am going to get into this field and make it work for me. My plan is to work smarter not harder.
Well if anyone has any ideas they wish to pass along I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
