Hi This is my first thread and I am new to this community.
I am currently in a community college living in Southern California.
My plan is to clear nursing Pre-Reqs>Transfer to a 4-year college and get my BSN> Work for a year+> Apply for CRNA program
I have a lot of questions so if you can answer any or all that would be grreat!!!
1. What is a good college to transfer to? I was looking into CSULA, CSULB, and CSUSB. I dont want to limit my self to three so are there any other colleges i should be looking into? and What are my chances of getting in?
I have mostly As + 1 B so far
2. When should one take the TEAS exam? A month before applying? A year? When?
3. I was thinking of becoming a CNA for practice so I can have something to write on my apps. Is this a good idea?
4. How long does it usually take a person to clear pre requisites before transferring? I know that if i want to cover those three schools it would take me at most three years.
If you have anything to add or any helpful advice i would really appreciate it.

I live in Northern Cali so I wont be able to give any tips about schools to transfer to down south but i do have other general tips!
1. I would def. not wait a month before applying to take the Teas test. Check the schools you are applying to because some allow you to take it more than once! If they do, I would recommend that you give yourself ample time so that if you want, you have a chance to re-take it before the deadline!
2. It took me a total of 4 overloaded semesters to finish all of my general ed which included my pre-reqs and most of the co-reqs that are required for my desired school.
3. Being a CNA would be good for the experience. I would check again with the programs you are interested in applying to, to see what they base their admission decisions on. Some give extra points or advantages to those who have health related work experience, but some also will give the same amount of points to volunteer work that is not paid. Also, depending on your schedule and the cost of the CNA programs near you will play a big role in ur decision!
Sorry it's a bit long! hope this helps!
