BSN to DNP admissions

Nursing Students General Students

Published

So I graduated this past Summer with a BSN with departmental honors in nursing and a 3.89 GPA. I have worked several years in healthcare as a PT/OT tech, scribe, CNA, RN apprentice and in a few months a year as an RN. I have worked in an acute internal medicine floor and a tele floor. I am finishing up a rural healthcare scholar program and am hoping to get a short term course (Program Objectives: This initiative aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, providing a unique opportunity for students to refine their precepting skills under the guidance of experienced professional) under that scholar program. I have all As in the prerequisites with the exception of a B in statistics. I have done random volunteer work with many different volunteer groups. I also recently enlisted in the sigma theta tau nursing. Any suggestions on becoming a very strong candidate?
