Hi all!!,
myself has finished my gnm diploma course in india.. so now i have decided to go to usa for bsc nursing... Question is AFTER passing my bsc nursing in usa still i have to give nclex or not? or that itself INCLUDES IN it? i am spending rs 12 LAKHS on this..
please please anyone answer me this... thx

By BSC are you refering to bedside care nursing. Well you can become a certified nursing assistant with relatively minimal training. But what I can gather from your question, is just the experience of beside nursing enough to becoming a registered nurse in the states? Well, no...you still need to pass the NCLEX to practice nursing in the STATES. I hope this answers your question.

FYI,TeleRNer, a BSC is a bachelor of science so a BSC in nursing would be a bachelors degree in nursing.
To the OP, if you are coming to the states to study I think you would be better off getting a BSN as this is more recognised in the States and yes, in order to practice as a nurse in the US you need to obtain a licence for whatever state you are in and part of that process is the NCLEX exam, which if you did do a nursing course would be at the end of the program and seperate from it. If you go the international forum there is loads of info on this and probably more accurate than what i could give you!
