H everyone! This is a thread I started for anyone going to south campus for May 2013. I figured this could help us with gathering important information regarding our campus so we don/t get confused with info that comes out of another campus! I'm looking forward to working with all of you starting in May!!!

Make sure when you do your tb test it is a 2 step test. You must get tested, go back 2 days later for a recheck, go back a week later for retest, then go back 2 days after that for recheck again. Make sure you do it early enough.

... just called nursing at South... The 2nd steps are as follow...

1st - Inoculation of TB under skin.

2nd - Check reaction (positive/negative) after 48hrs. That's all we need.

Yes I had already established that. Just never updated on this forum. I have already handed in my paperwork. If you are planning to attend south I have created a Facebook page for south search for broward college south campus nursing may 2013. I'll be updating/posting information as it becomes available.

Hi I did get textbooks and uniforms already. I got a couple used but most are new. They totaled about 1200 for everything. You need to buy the orientation packet first and inside is the book list of required and recommended books. If you are on Facebook search for Broward College May 2013 South Campus Nursing. I'll be updating weekly and as important information becomes available.

I tried to register for fall classes. Nur1220 only comes up for North and Central campus. Where you able to register?

I am not able to register for fall yet because I had a transcript issue in which I had to wait for my spring classes to be posted from another college. Now that they are and I sent my transcript I have I wait until its reviewed an ok'd.

Please let me know if you will be able to register. Are you going to be taking all four classes with us, sounds like you already did some classes in nursing?
