Hello everyone!
I am a senior in high school (graduating in June:yeah:) and I plan to apply for the spring semester of Bon Secours Memorial Nursing School in 2010. I would love to do Fall 2009, but the deadline is June 1st and I do not have the money for the application fee and the TEAs right now. I am a new mother to a beautiful little girl-therefor I want to adjust before attending nursing school. Also, my boyfriend & I are trying to become stable financially and we are planning to move to the Fan within the next few months.
I'm just wondering, are there a lot of younger people who are admitted into the program? I am 18 years old and I know a lot of the women on here are a bit older. Do you believe that my age will hurt my chance of being admitted into the program?
Is anyone else applying for the spring 2010 semester on here? If so, are they even accepting applications for the spring semester yet??

Hi indiawhitaker,
Your age should never be a consideration. You should be evaluated on your GPA, completed pre-req.'s, and your presence.
From experience, I know what it's like to be young and sometimes not be taken seriously simply because of your age. You just have to put your best foot forward, set goals, and go for them! Never let your age make you feel inferior or less of a candidate for anything! I'm now 25 (still young of course), but just now feel like I'm begining to be taken seriously with some aspects of my professional life.
Good luck and GO FOR IT! : )
