Hi everyone! I'm brand new on this board, as I am currently in the process of registering at BMCC in Manhattan to take my prerequisite courses. I am hoping to apply to the Lehman (& maybe Hunter) accelerated program after my pre-reqs are completed. My question is:
I have to take a course that Lehman calls 'Essentials of General Chemistry' but BMCC offers multiple Chem courses (Chem, Foundations of Chem, College Chem...) and I was wondering if anyone else has done their pre-reqs for Lehman at BMCC, and could point me in the right direction as to which Chem course to register for that will transfer over properly. I have tried to get in touch with Lehman, but it's the holidays, blah blah blah... :)
I am really hoping to do direct admission and begin my courses this Spring (soon, I know) so I am just trying to get all my ducks in a row as quickly and efficiently as possible. I am also welcoming of any advice from BMCC folks who are currently taking their pre-reqs, and anyone who has transferred to Lehman or Hunter. Thanks!
So happy to be a part of this board & excited to begin my journey on my way to becoming a nurse!

Hi Jess!
I've heard that students at BMCC could retake their nursing prereq courses for a better grade and the old grade would be taken off of the transcript. Is that true? I'm a lehman student and I failed to get into lehman nursing program due to a mistake I made on one of my nursing prereq courses. I'm hoping to transfer to BMCC to retake one of my prereqs then reapply to the nursing program.
