I am taking 6 units, 2 classes. I am in psychology 101 and anthro 102. I have a hard time reading the text books. I am a good reader but the text reading is SO MUCH, I also work FT, have a very PT job (3 hrs per week) 5 kids, two with recent medical emergencies (one kid just had surgery today due to broken arm), all with a lot of recent dental appointments, 2 doing not so well in school. My psychology is a telecourse and I am a little bit off track (1/2 week) in my target assignments. My anthro is going fine
When I get to reading, it takes so long as it is a lot of pages, plus rather boring as well. I can't do text reading in big chunks at all, I find it takes forever to get through a chapter. I find my mind getting distracted to all the other things. I have been getting up early to work on reading and assignments before work, but I am very sleepy and not a morning person. When I stay up late to do work, the next day is very tiring. I start work at 6:30 AM and work very hard, its better to get up early than stay up late. I allow myself to sleep in 1x weekly. When I am doing questions and answers, or reading non-text work, I do just fine.
Anybody else have similar issues?

Yes I am...I have 2 kids 2 and 4 years old...No day care no family around (they live abroad) so no days off, my husband works long hours. I am taking 8 credits this semester Algebra 1 and bio 101+lab going every nights. It's tough...I don't know when I'll be done with the pre req. I kind of wanted to take another class to speed up the process but to be honest I am already dying...I can't wait to go back to work to help supporting my family! I feel you on this one but how to you get by 5 kids and a FT job + part time school? You are super woman!!!!
