Biology for health related sciences, should I retake it if I got a C?

It's my first time posting on here and I am a pre-nursing student and it is my first year . I have a question about my biology class I recently took this past semester it is Biology for Health Related Sciences, I did all I could to succeed in my class but my test scores ended up not showing it and I finished the class with a C. I'm wondering if I should retake it or if I should let it go? Some people tell me if I retake it it won't have a tremendous affect on my GPA and that I will have a "R" on my transcript and that's apparently bad. So I wanted others thoughts on my situation and if anyone has any advice for a newbie please share.
