I am interested in going back to school for my FNP/WHNP (still deciding which one) and am so overwhelmed by the number of choices I have. There are so many schools and I don't want to choose the wrong one. Can anyone suggest online programs that they know personally are good choices or ones that you know are BAD choices as well. I've narrowed it down to University of Cincinnati or Frontier but I'm open to other suggestions.

I graduated from Frontier Nursing University in March 2012. I chose Frontier for its long history & for practical reasons- most of the other online schools require you to go to their campus multiple times during the program. That can be costly & if you are working, your manager may not appreciate you leaving for a weekend or week each semester.
Frontier requires you to go to a 4 day orientation-to meet your "classmates" & some of the professors & also learn about their online program. The second time you are required to go is before you start your clinicals(1 1/2 weeks) where you learn the physical exam, newborn exam, pelvic exam & more. The third time, which isn't required but I recommend it, is for graduation.
Hope this information helps you.
Good Luck in your decision making.

I'm starting the AGNP online program at University of Cincinnati School of Nursing next month. I'm interested in hearing from anyone in an online program who might have some good suggestions for a successful school experience.
Have a combined calendar listing all your assignment due dates so you won't miss anything. Be VERY organized. Good Luck in your studies!
