For someone with a bachelor's in an LPN program, what's the next best move to advance: RN or accelerated BSN? Some say no need to get a BSN when you already have a degree in another field; just do RN.

First of all a bachelor's degree in another field does not equal a BSN. You have to actually obtain a bachelors in the nursing field. Second RN is a license, not a degree. So, if you obtain an ASN or BSN, you sit for the same NCLEX to be a RN. As for going for the ASN or BSN, you really need to see what they are hiring in your area.
