Hi all! I was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on any specific hospitals/NICU's that would be a great place for a new grad NNP to start in? A lot of hospitals I've talked to won't even take any new grads. The couple that I've found that do take new grads said they pretty much expect you to be fully on your own after just a couple weeks of orientation which is a little scary to me. Are there specific hospitals that have set orientation programs that are good for new grads to learn in without rushing them and expecting them to be on their own after 3-4 weeks? The hospitals did say the orientation programs are technically 12 weeks but after week 3 they expect you to take a full patient load and not need any support. I know there are fellowship programs for new grads I just don't feel I would need that long of additional teaching. Thanks for any advice!
