Hello,
I am currently a NICU nurse, but I know that I want to eventually be working in L&D. I'm interested in working with high risk pregnancies to get the most experience. With that being said, are designated Women's hospitals better for this? I noticed they offer comprehensive maternal care and are usually always attached to at least a level III NICU. I am having a tough time on deciding on whether or not I should stay at my current hospital or transfer to a Women's hospital. Also read that census is never low in a women's hospital (ex. The Woman's Hospital of Texas delivers the most babies in the whole state and is always popping).
Thanks for your input!

If you want real good L&D experience then The Woman’s Hospital of Texas is the place for you. That’s where I got my experience and even though it is a lot to learn and very fast paced, you will know your stuff.
